Welcome Students!
I am so excited to have you all back for a new school year! Are you ready to work hard?? How you choose to set yourself up these first few weeks will set the tone for the rest of the year. So get organized, prepared, and pay close attention as to what will be expected of you! How are you going to show G.R.I.T. this year?? What things will you do to take initiative and grow this year? You have one year left until middle school... now is the time to open your ears, focus your eyes, and work hard to understand every possible thing you can! Good luck to you all and I can't wait to get to know each and every one of you! I'd love to get you started by taking part in a math poll for the classroom. Choose your answer below and click vote! Check back to view results periodically and compare your answer to your classmates!

Welcome Parents!
Fifth grade is an exciting time for students to prepare themselves for middle school! This year, they will need to start taking steps necessary to becoming responsible for themselves and decide what kind of student they want to be to ensure their academic success!
There are several opportunities throughout the year to volunteer in the classroom. Volunteer examples this year include but are not limited to:
- Small Group Instruction: Come help out with small groups of students once a week in the classroom during centers time. You may help with flashcards, math concepts, timed tests, or homework review.
- Chaperons/Coordinators: There are events throughout the year that we would love to have some parental support with! These events include field trips, the fifth grade dance, math and science night, PTA participation, and seasonal carnivals.
I look forward to working with you all! Please do not ever hesitate to communicate with me. My door is always open and welcoming!
Mrs. Martin
